Gary started in radio as a volunteer for KPFT-FM, a nonprofit community radio station in Houston. He was occasional host of a weekly public affairs program. He also hosted music shows and helped with fundraising and promotion. He wrote and performed a weekly editorial on KTRU-FM, Rice University’s student-run radio station.

These days, Gary and continues to write, record, and narrate public-service announcements and produces commercials for a law firm. Here's a sample of his production and voice work, an AM radio commercial for Jeffrey Skarda and Associates, attorneys specializing in Social Security disability law.
